World Trade Center / Litigation Resulting from 9/11 Attack

The largest piece of real estate litigation in history resulted from the assertion by the leaseholder of the World Trade Center complex that the terrorist attack on 9/11 was two attacks and therefore constituted two insurance claims.

We were retained as an expert witness by law firms representing the insurers to help dispute the leaseholder's position. We prepared detailed reports, gave depositions and advised our client appropriately and were, to our knowledge, the only real estate firm that acted in that capacity.
