Publicis Groupe
We have handled real estate matters for several corporate generations of what is now a principal subsidiary of this global French advertising and communications empire, dating from our first assignment for Benton & Bowles in 1979. Our involvement continued through B&B's merger with D'Arcy Masius & MacManus to form DMB&B and its subsequent merger with Leo Burnett to create BCom3. Finally, when Publicis Groupe acquired BCom3, our work continued on behalf of a growing number of Publicis companies. Most recently this has included Saatchi & Saatchi, Zenith and Digitas, as we have handled much of our client's real estate needs throughout the United States.From the outset, our work has taken us to numerous locales around the world. In each case, our role was to project the perspective and objectives of the corporate parent onto each local real estate situation. Our client expected from us - and got - aggressive, intelligent, articulate, and non-self-interested representation. Whether in Asia, Europe or the Americas, we have brought a logical overview to each assignment, explaining local trends and customs to management in clear terms and framing transactions to serve global corporate objectives as well as local needs.
Our work has included lease renewals, extensions and relocations, including, among many others, recent work for Leo Burnett in Hong Kong and Tokyo, Zenith in a complex and high-pressure transaction in Los Angeles, Saatchi in Torrance, CA and Digitas in Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago and Fairfield County, CT.
In June, 2008, working with the local partner we selected, we handled the sale of land owned by a Publicis company under a major Chicago hotel. We succeeded in attaining a price more than 50% higher than the first offer received during our assignment, in an all-cash transaction.
