We have handled real estate matters for several corporate generations of what is now a principal subsidiary of this global French advertising and communications empire. In 1979 we undertook our first assignment for Benton & Bowles. Our involvement continued as B&B merged with D’Arcy Masius & MacManus to form DMB&B. When DMB&B merged with Leo Burnett we remained involved, with the newly-formed BCom3 Group. Finally, when Publicis Groupe acquired BCom3, our work continued on behalf of a growing number of Publicis companies.
From the outset, our work for this client took us to numerous distant locales around the world; in each case, our role was to project the perspective and objectives of the corporate parent onto each local real estate situation. Our client expected – and got – aggressive, intelligent and articulate representation. Whether in Asia, Europe, or the Americas, we brought a logical overview to each assignment, explaining local trends and customs to management in clear terms, and framing transactions so that they served global corporate objectives as well as local needs.
Occupancy costs are the largest non-personnel cost of most advertising and communications companies. We are very experienced at structuring and negotiating leases that are flexible and enable our clients to manage occupancy costs throughout market and business cycles.
